Work is still on going with the society’s OO layout “Fairford” more detailing work is been carried out including - adding gas lights to the platforms and station area, the turntable now works correctly, cranks have been added for the point rodding and signal pulleys have been added. Everything went very well with the layouts first exhibition at our very own 2005 exhibition. operators included John Aldrick, Dave Langton and Mike Smith. A special thanks is in order for Mike Smith who’s dedicated a great deal of time to getting Fairford ready for the exhibition. Keep up the good work all involved.

Ian Morris is continuing work on his N-Gauge north American layout based on union pacific operation, hopefully it will be ready for the 2006 LMRS exhibition. He’s constructed the first 2 board out of a total of 3, but he did mention to myself that he has had problems laying peco code 55 track, it seems once laid it can be very hard to slide individual rails back and forth to adjust gaps. Anybody else had similar problems ?
